His cool fingers are too sticky to slide. So, he presses instead. Gently enough to keep from bruising or breaking. Hard enough to *just* open her.

She’s not unlike her favorite fruit, the one that he’s just peeled and split, and fed her small clefts of before leaving it to rest on the table next to them.

She’s softly sweet too, and all precious pulp inside. All juice. All lushly delicious vitamins. Every bit as naturally healthy for his heart as fresh fruit is to hers.

He presses his fingers slightly further, barely parting little lovesong’s knees. Her lips come open to plead and pray, to breathe, but this is his moment to give or take. This is his gift, to her, but not yet hers.

“Shhh,” he warns, his voice twice as warm as his breath. He’s close enough she can feel it. It sends goose bumps happily crawling down between her birthday dress and her backbone.

She wants. She is wanting.

He loves her. He is love to her.

He wants to be the next breath in her lungs. The next taste on her tongue. He wants to fill her as she fills him, absolutely and completely.

“Stay so still for me.”

She stops her inhale at his request and holds it in her throat. She doesn’t blink or breathe, or even think of moving. She’s good for him. She loves being so good for him.

Her heart beats harder, demanding affection, attention, air.

The sound is more dulcet than music to him. More perfect than any heaven ever promised to anyone, anywhere, ever.

He wants to swallow the sound - the taste and feel and force of her - into himself. He wants her under his teeth and on his lips, shaking legs around his hips and warm arms around his neck. He wants her taking him, all the way, as deeply as she can, as he takes from her.

He pushes further between her knees, pressing her legs open with both hands now. Enough to make her bottom scoot forward and her back arch. Enough for him to kneel between them and wrap his left arm around her waist.

Still holding her breath, her open eyes flutter wider as she watches his, pitch black and predatory, but never without love.

He brings his right hand to her parted lips, touching his citrus-sticky fingers to her bottom one.

“Breathe, baby,” he whispers, cool lips and warm words across her pink cheek.

The allowance moves her not just to breathe, but to close her eyes and draw two of his fingertips into her mouth. She’s lost in lightheaded heartflying bliss for a moment. The rush of air and the taste of juice on his skin, the taste of him -

Her joy moves him and he grants her the moment, a few of them. He brushes his thumb across her cheek and gives the tips of his fingers to her warm, soft little tongue. He loses himself to bliss too, just for a moment.

Circling his arm tighter around her waist then, he parts her mouth open once more with his thumb and touches his open lips to hers. Breathing as she breathes. Loving as she loves.

He moves his hand into her hair and tilts her head back.

Her heart beats his name.

He whispers hers against her top lip, the side of her mouth, angling her supple soft body underneath his to split her, to devour her like fruit. He touches his left hand between her legs, sliding her open, helping her open so that she can take him as he takes her.

Forehead to forehead, forever to forever after, he’s the air she breathes into her lungs, the taste on get tongue.

She’s everything, wrapped in a party dress and smiling up at him with promises in her eyes.

He kisses her so soft before he pushes inside, before he opens her up to fill his heart with rich red love.

“Happy birthday, little lovesong.”
